Biography

Attorney Tristan Simpson is the newest partner of Platt Cole Russell & Simpson PLLC. Ms. Simpson joined the firm in May 2022.

Born into a military family, Ms. Simpson has lived all over the country. However, when her father retired from the military, her family made Melbourne their home. Ms. Simpson is a graduate of Palm Bay High School and thereafter attended Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University (FAMU), where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. Before making it to law school she earned her Master of Science degree at the University of Central Florida. Her law studies were completed at North Carolina Central University School of Law where she received her Juris Doctor.

After graduating from law school, Ms. Simpson advocated for children and families with her work for the Guardian ad Litem Program and the Department of Children and Families in various Florida counties, including Brevard County. In addition to her work in dependency litigation, Ms. Simpson has represented clients in the private sector in all aspects of family law including custody matters involving abuse allegations. Her experience with both the Guardian ad Litem Program and the Department of Children and Families gives her the advantage of knowing what her clients can expect in those types of cases so she can advocate more effectively for the client.

Ms. Simpson is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Law Mediator and Qualified Parenting Coordinator and loves serving clients in these roles.
